I just got an update about a week or two ago and now my actual Swype keyboard is not available. I've been using Trace Keyboard ever since, and you're correct that it FUNCTIONS the same as Swype, but the editing is not even close. The Swype was far more intuitive. With Trace if I make a mistake and don't notice until I go back to edit, when I tap on the word I'd like to change the only suggestions that come up are suggestions you might find in Microsoft spellcheck; words that all start the same and maybe there's a letter or two different. The Swype editing would suggest completely different words that had letters close to each other on the keyboard, not just derivatives of the word you accidentally swiped.
A good example would be swiping "my Swype is fine and I can't get it back." Obviously, I meant to say "gone," but when I go back to edit it, that isn't one of the first few options. I have to dig to find it, if at all.
Does anyone know if the editing function in Trace learn over time the words I'm liable to swipe incorrectly?
