How to Change Event Color on Google Calendar for Android


 

 

 

 

 

Changing the color of events on Google calendar, helps you identify events with the same subject at a glance. The Android version of Google Calendar lets you easily assign different colors to each events, by doing as follows:

If you have already create an event and want to change the color:
1. Tap the event on the calendar
2. Tap the Palette icon on the top menu

3. Select the event colour

If you are going to create a new event and want to assign a color to the task:

1. Start creating a new event

2. Tap the Palette button next to the account name, you are going to create event for

3. Set a color for the new event

What the heck is the "top menu" referred to in step 2?  I don't have get any menu when I tap the event on the calendar.

@Boris Badnov  I think they mean the pencil icon, similar to the icon at the bottom left of this window.


However, while that used to work, it no longer works with the latest Android OS. I don't know who to blame, Android or Google, or both.
