To adjust sound settings in Android go to Settings > Sound.
There are many things that you can adjust here. Using the Vibrate option, you can choose your vibration type and it's intensity and you can select when it should start vibrating.
The next one is Volume.In this section you can adjust Media, Alarm, system and notifications volume.
In the next section you can define your Notification Ringtone.
In the final section you can choose to have Key tones, Touch Sound, Screen lock sound and on some Android devices Vibration Intensity.
