How to Sync Contacts Birthdays with Google Calendar

The syncing option on the calendar application of Android devices lets you sync info like contacts birthdays with Google Calendar and their birthdays appear as an event. Do as follows to enable syncing birthdays

1. Open Calendar
2. Tap the three dot icon on the top right
3. Select Settings

4. Tap the Google account you would like to change settings for
5. Make sure "Contacts' birthdays and events" is checked

I have a Samsung S7 and according to everything I've read, I have everything selected and correct to have the birthdays from my contact list (google account) show up on my calendar. All the right boxes are checked and has been verified by 2 at&t employees. I even went in my contacts list in my google account to make sure birthdays are in there. Everything's right but I still don't have contact birthdays on my calendar. Can anyone help?
