To remove the Flipboard from your home screen all that you'll need to do is to simply go to an empty box press down as if you were going to add a widget there now push Home Screen Settings. There you'll have an option to turn off Flipboard. Now when you swipe to the right it'll no.longer be there and you'll be free to add other apps in its place or whatever you wish to do. Also you can turn off all notifications for the app so that you no longer have to deal with the app if you don't want to.

This does not permanently remove. Unchecking and stopping from application manager is a temp fix. My magazine manages to enable itself again. Big problem. Samsung needs to allow an uninstall and not force me to root my phone!
