In the first AW Center App Updates article in 2014, we selected to review the changes in one of the most popular internet radio apps, one of the best Twitter client alternatives, and one of the first messaging app ever which has recently found its way to Android and iOS.
So, let's see what's changed, what's improved and what's new in Pandora® internet radio, BBC, and Carbon for Twitter
1. Pandora: Alarm Clock Is Finally Available
For so many users (read it more than hundreds of million), Pandora is the first and last option to listen to Internet Radio on their smart devices, and the good news is that the long waited alarm clock is finally available in the latest app's update. You can easily set one of your favorite stations as the alarm tone, so you will wake up by listening to your favorite music, and there are some options to set the frequency of alarm repeats, snooze the alarm, and set the sleep timer.
Like always, there have been some bug fixes and improvements too.
2. BBM: Support for Voice and Channels, and More Emoticons Added
First of all, note that this a Beta test which me ans just limited BBM users can update to this new version for testing purposes. By the way, the added features are really exciting, as BlackBerry is offering more than 100 new emoticons, the option to access to BBM Channels to browse through featured channels, and most importantly the BBM Voice which makes it possible to call other BBM users via Wi-Fi network for free.
Other than bug fixes, there have been some improvements for file sharing feature.
3. Carbon for Twitter
Carbon has been designed and developed perfect enough to be called as one of the first Twitter client alternatives, and the Version 2 delivers a fresh new design and interface. The changes in the Timeline is really brilliant, as you can have quick Timeline which lets you have one Timeline for searches, list, favorite on your Home Screen, change the Type style used on Tweets on Timeline, and you can swipe to Messages and Home as well.
