1. Sony Xperia SP, TX, T, and V to Receive Android 4.3 From Late January
Sony finally announces when Android 4.3 Jelly Bean will be available for Xperia SP, Xperia TX, Xperia T and Xperia V. According to Sony Twitter account, depending on your market and carrier, you should be expecting the new firmware hit your device sometime from late January to mid-February.
2. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Lite is Official
The long waited Samsung’s new budget tablet is finally official, and here are the main specs of Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Lite: 7-inch WSVGA, 1024 X 600 pixels display, 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory, microSD card support, 2MP rear camera, a front facing camera, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and 3600 mAh battery.
This affordable tablet is expected to be priced at $130 and will be available from next month.
3. Sprint Starts the G Flex Pre-order for $299 On-Contract
LG G Flex could get more attention than its Galaxy Round, as the first 2 devices with flexible screens and now Sprint is the first U.S. carrier to offer the device nationwide
You can now pre-order the G Flex for $299 with contract, and the Sprint starts shipping the device at the last day of January with a free Quickwindow Folio Case.
Note that G Flex will also available in stores from February 7th (carried by Sprint), and while Verizon has no plans offering the 6inch phone, AT&T and T-Mobile will have the device carried at sometime in the Q1 2014.
4. Sony to Launch Xperia E1 and T2 Ultra in March and April in the UK
Sony has recently released 2 new Xperia devices, one as a Walkman with entry-level specs, and the other as a phablet with 6inch screen.
Now, according to some confirmed rumors, Sony is planning to launch Xperia E1 in March for about £145 in the UK, and April is expected to be when Xperia T2 Ultra gets released in the UK for about £339.
