1. The Leaked HTC M8 wallpaper Suggests an 1080p Display for HTC’s Flagship

@evleaks has just leaked yet another valuable info about upcoming smartphones, and more specifically it is about the wallpaper of HTC 8M (or HTC One2, One+ or whatever the name will be) as the HTC’s next flagship.

Considering the rumor to be true, which we believe it is, the wallpaper size is 2160 x 1920 (the same exact size of the HTC One wallpaper) and it means HTC M8 will be equipped with the anticipated 1080p display, and it seems HTC is trying to produce a device which boosts your life style and doesn’t care about some gimmick and marketing stuff like 2K screens.

Wrapping up all the other rumors about HTC M8 brings us to the point that, this flagship will feature a 5inch display with 1080p resolution, and will be powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor, and some of its features will be a fingerprint sensor and more improved camera.

2. Android KitKat for Canadian HTC One Reached the Certification Stage

We reported a couple of days ago that, HTC One devices under major U.S. carriers are in the Certification stage and the carrier are making final tests. Today, the HTC Canada update page has updated the stage of Canadian HTC One for the Android KitKat rolling out schedule. Since the new update is under review by 6 Canadian service providers, Bell, Rogers, SaskTel, TELUS, Virgin Mobile, and Wind, you should expect to see the update notification on your HTC One in Canada soon.

We have also good news for Rogers customers who own a HTC One mini: the Android KitKat update has reached the Certification stage for their handset.

3. HTC to Announced a Desire Phone: Colorful, 5” Display and Octa-core CPU

HTC Desire series  are mostly aimed for mid-range category and according to the rumors the yet-to-be-announced mid-range HTC Desire phone will feature an Octa-core MediaTek CPU (unlike other reports which believed HTC would use a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor) as well as a 5inch 720p display, 1.5GB of RAM, 8MP Rear camera, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The most probable announcement date could be at MWC in February and since we are talking about a mid-end device, the price should be about $330.

The unannounced HTC Desire phone is being compared with iPhone 5C and is said to be its competitor, as HTC is preparing different colors, including Blue, Yellow, Red, and Orange for the handeset.
