1. Samsung May Release The Premium Variant of Galaxy S5 in June

When Samsung announced the Galaxy S4 last year with its famous plastic body, everyone believed the next Samsung’s flagship, Galaxy S5, would definitely have a metal build body with a premium look. There were also so many reports and rumors supporting the idea that Samsung is planning to release 2 variants on Galaxy S5 at the MWC event: Normal and Prime. But at the Unpacked Event, Galaxy S5 was announced with plastic body again and Samsung’s J.K. Shin told the reporters that “no premium version of the S5 is planned for launch.”

But it seems there is a slight change in the plan, as according to some trusted sources Samsung is actually working on the Project KQ (aka Galaxy S5 prime or Galaxy F) which features a QHD display (1,440x2,560 pixels), the most powerful processor available and a premium metal body.

The latest rumors suggest June 2014 as the release date (or maybe just announcement) for the Galaxy S5 Prime and it seems Samsung’s doesn’t like to lose the battle of QHD displays to its home town rival, LG, which is planning to launch LG G3 with a QHD screen sometime in the summer.
