The next iteration of the popular Google 7 inches tablet was officially introduced in the last week by Sundar Pichai. Nexus 7 2013 (Nexus 7 2) can be named the best Android 7 inches tablet with an affordable price. Before reviewing the specifications of Nexus 7, let’s check the prices and the release date:

Design

Google Nexus 7 2 has been made by Asus like its older brother and there is not any significant change in the tablet design in compare to the first model of Nexus 7, but it is 50 grams lighter and 1.8mm thinner. If you look at the back of the tablet, you will notice those textures are gone and the Nexus logo has been placed vertically (What is Google implicating by this vertical logo?).

In general the tablet is very beautiful with a simple design and you have no difficulties working with it, especially in the vertical direction.

Display

The 7 inches display has the 1920X1080 pixels resolution which increases the density per inches to 323dpi as the highest density between other Android tablets. The screen of Nexus 7 is protected by Gorilla Glass and its type is LED-backlit IPS LCD.

Hardware

The processor of Nexus 7 2, is a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro and a single-core Adreno 320 as the GPU (Graphical Processors Units). It is worth to mention that the CP U is actually a Snapdragon 600 but Google has limited the processor speed to 1.5GHz and as the result they had to come up with a name other than Snapdragon 600.

Google has added a 5MP rear camera with an LED Flash to the Nexus 7 2 which can take HD videos with 30fps ratio. The battery is 3950mA and as Google claims, it can play videos up to 9 hours. Wireless Charging is the other hardware feature of Nexus 7.
