Google decided to release another new tablet, after its great success in Nexus 7: A 10” one with many new features. The good sale of the device, approves Google’s success in tablets marketing. In the following, you will be introduced to some of the new features used in Nexus 10.

Design

The whole body is made up of plastic. Its Round corners and thickness of 8.9 mm, all reveals its classic style layout. This much of thicknesses and the amazing battery capacity of 9000 mA is showing Google's talent on designing such a device.

Hardware

The new Nexus got famous due to its magnificent display. The 10" display has a wonderful screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 which is unique on its own. The first tablet with this amount of resolution. The final result is a display with a pixel density of 300 PPI which makes it impossible to see the pixels with a naked eye. The display is of Super PLS type, having almost the same features of LG IPS displays. The gadget's processor is Exynos 5250 with ARM Cortex A15 architecture. It is dual core with 1.7 GH of frequency coming with 2 GB of RAM. For the GPU, however, Google has tried one new chipset called, Mali-T604. Like the previous Nexus, this tablet does not support SIM card and unlike it, the new Nexus uses a 5 MP camera with Full HD video recording.

Software

The default Android version installed on the gadget is 4.2, a pure and untouched version of it. Other softy features of Nexus 10 is the followings:

  • Multi-User Account: With this feature, each user can have an account of his own, each of which could have personalized home screens, applications, settings and even different Google Accounts.
  • Google Intelligent Voice Assistant: No questions of your s is unanswered anymore, if you use this assistant.
  • Speech to text: A familiar feature used also in some previous Android versions, this time with offline ability.
  • Day Dream: This feature enables you to have your custom contents on lock screen page.
  • Photo Sphere: This feature is used for easy making panoramas.
  • Intelligent Keyboard: The new Android 4.2 keyboard is improved to guess and predicts the words much better.
