As expected LG reported the financial statements for the second quarter of 2014 and thanks to the great sales in the mobile division, the Korean manufacturer ended having losses after three straight quarters.
In the Q2, LG has managed to sell a record 14.5 smartphones which is 20% more than the same period last year and 17% from the previous period.
To speak some numbers, the LG’s mobile division could reach the $3.5 billion sales and the net profit reached to $83.4 million.
According to the LG’s statement, more than 30% of sold devices are LTE-enabled, and other than great LG G3’s debut and surpassing the initial estimations, the strong sales L series devices which are known as mid-range devices is the other reason for this success.
Since this report excludes the global sales of LG G3 as well as the yet-to-be-released LG G3 Beat in the Europe, LG is also confident about the Q3 financial statement and believes they have just found the road to success.
Other than the fact that LG G3 is just awesome and the L series devices are perfect choices for those who’d like to spend less money for a smartphone, we shouldn’t forget about the poor Galaxy S5 performance sales wise, as these days the latest Galaxy device is not the only worth to buy option anymore.
