Opera is mostly known for its compressing technology when using different versions of Opera browsers. Opera Max is the next Opera project which goes beyond the send/received data in the browser and tries to compress the data through the entire OS on Android devices.
The logic behind Opera Max is simple and a little concerning, as it uses a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to send all the contents (videos, images, and websites) to your device, after compressing and optimizing them via the Opera servers and tools. If you are concern about your privacy since all your data can be viewed by Opera servers, the company states that it only measures how much data you use and how much you save, and you shouldn't be worried about the privacy.
Considering the history of Opera in compressing data, we are thinking that Opera Max is going to be one of the first app choices to install for those with limited plans.
But don't get too excited, as the Opera Max application is still in Beta test. But if you live in the U.S and own an Android device running IceCream, Jelly Bean or KitKat, you can join the Opera Max Beta test to be one of the first people to test the functionality of the application, servers, and security issues.
So, if you are interested and eligible for the beta tester program, visit the Opera webpage for more information.
