If you are a fan of European football leagues, then you know for sure that August is the month of starting football in the European countries. Android Widgets are all about saving some time and Android sport widgets do their best to provide live scores on your home screens. Yahoo! Sports (Sportacular) provides 2 neat widgets to show the latest scores of your favorite teams, as well as many useful information on the main app. Before getting to the home screen widgets, let’s have a quick Yahoo! Sports features‘ review:

What we liked most about Yahoo! Sports was about providing detail information for every games. The notification system is activated and the alarm goes off, if one of the following conditions aplly to one of your favorite teams: 3 hr pre-start, Match start, Full time, All goals, Half time, Extra time, Close match, Line move (These conditions can be defined in the app). You can also specify whether to be notified with sound, or vibration or not.
There are 3 Yahoo! Sports home screen widgets:
Y! Sports Small 2×1: This home screen widget shows the result of the last match (or the live score) of your favorite team. When you add the widget on home screen, you are asked to specify which favorite team you would like to follow on home screen
Y! Sports – Large 4×1: This home screen widget functions the as the Small widget of Y! Sports, an the only difference is the ability to specify more than 2 teams to follow on home screen. Unfortunately there is no option to follow the latest scores of a specific league on home screen.
There is also a 4×2 widget for NASCAR Series: Sprint or Nationwide. When adding the widget to home screen, Race details of the upcoming event are shown. Unlike the other 2 widgets, this widget is not transparent.
