The Smart Stay feature on the Galaxy Note 4 keeps the screen on while you are looking at it. But if you want to manually change screen timeout on Galaxy Note 4, you need to do as follows:
1. Open Settings and go to the Device settings
2. Tap the Display and Wallpaper option
3. Now, open the Screen timeout settings and specify the idle time after which the screen should turn off. (Choose from 15 seconds to 10 minutes)
