The latest Chrome update lets you search selected word(s) without leaving the current tab. Good thing about the Touch to Search feature is that it looks for the selected term considering the context and the webpage. In other words, if you are viewing a nutrition-related webpage and select to word Apple, you are shown results about the apple as a fruit, not the company!
To enable / disable touch to search on Chrome for Android, first make sure your Chrome application is updated and then do as follows:
1. Open Chrome on your Android device
2. Tap the 3dot icon on the top right and then hit the Settings.
3. Under the Advanced settings, tap the Privacy option
4. Tap the Touch to Search option, and decided whether to disable or enable it.
** Note that, to use the Touch to Search feature, simply long press the word you want to know more about, and at touch the Google icon which appears at the bottom of the screen.
