How to Find The Smart Lock on HTC One M8 Running Lollipop


 

 

 

 

 

The Smart Lock feature on Android 5 lets you unlock your phone with a trusted place, face, Bluetooth or NFC device. To find the Smart Lock on HTC One M8 running Lollipop, do as follows:

 

1. Open Settings and go to the Security settings
2. Make sure you are already using a Pattern, PIN, or Password as your screen security option
3. Under the Screen Security options, touch the Smart Lock and select one of these options: Trusted Devices, Trusted Places, or Trusted Face

 

Note that, if the Smart Lock option is not available and you cannot find it, you need to do as follows to enable the options:
1. Open Settings and go to the Security settings
2. Scroll down and under the Advanced options, go to the Trust Agents settings
3. Make sure the Smart Lock (Google) option is enabled
4. Now head back to the main view of Security settings and you should see the Smart Lock option
