How to Enable One Handed Mode in Google Keyboard on Android


 

 

 

 

 

If you are using the Google Keyboard as your default keyboard on your Android device, you can enable one handed mode in Google Keyboard on your Android device to type with one hand, faster and easier. To turn off / turn on one-handed keyboard, do as follows on your Android devices:

 

1. Make sure you are using the latest version of Google Keyboard on your Android device (the one-handed mode was added on the version 5.0)
2. Open the Settings app on your Android device, and then head to the Language & Keyboard settings
3. Go to the Google Keyboard settings
** Note that, to open the Google Keyboard Settings you can also pop up the keyboard (start typing a message for example), press and hold your finger on the Comma button next to the Space Bar and then touch the Settings icon
4. Tap the Preferences option
5. Tap to open the One handed mode option and then choose either of these options: DisableRight handed mode OR Left handed mode
