How to install apps from source other than Google Play


 

 

 

 

 

There may be many times that you find an app from sources other than Google Play and you want to install them on your Android smartphone or tablet. The following instruction shows how to do this action

  1. Open Setting app
  2. Go to Security and make sure “Unknown sources” is checked

** Note that “Unknown sources” may be found under “Application” on some devices

 

  1. Transfer the application source (The .apk file) from your computer to your device
  2. Install a free File Manager application from Google Play Store, if you already don’t have one
  3. Find the .apk file on your device using File Manager
  4. Tap on the file and start the installation
