How to save Google Maps for offline use on Android


 

 

 

 

 

Google map is the most popular map application for smart phones and thanks to the Google Maps updated version on Android, you can now download and save the maps offline and use them when you are not connected to the internet.
To download a map, follow the instructions:

  1. Open Google Maps application
  2. Tap on the menu, select “Make available offline”.

 

  • On some devices you may need to click on the three dots in the lower right of the screen

 

  1. Select the map area by panning and zooming
  2. Check the estimated size and tap on Done to start downloading
  3. The selected map is download and ready to use in offline mode

Note that some features like navigation still needs data connection.
