Google Chrome for Android either shows you a blank page, set of your favorite bookmarks or your favorite website as homepage when opening the app. To set / change homepage on Chrome, do as follows:
1. Open the Chrome app on your Android device
2. Tap the 3dot icon on the top right and then go to the Settings.
3. Under the Basic settings, tap the Home page option
4. Now you have the option to entirely toggle off the home page on Chrome (no specific website is opened when launching the Chrome for Android)
5. Or, you can simply make sure the Home page feature is On and then set your favorite website as the home page (Make sure to unmark the Default button)
Note that, as far as we investigated, this Change homepage on Chrome feature is only available for devices bought through a carrier (locked devices), and users with unlocked Android devices can not set / change home page on Chrome for Android. But good news is that we have found a way to somehow set a homepage on Chrome. So, to set homepage on Chrome for unlocked Android devices, do as follows:
1. Open the Chrome browser on your Android phone/tablet
2. Open the website you want to be set as home page. (and wait for the page to be loaded completely)
3. Tap the 3dot icon on the top right and touch the Add to Home screen button
4. Confirm the name and hit the Add button
5. Now, a shortcut to your website is added to the home screen, and once you tap this shortcut it open in the Chrome (as if you have set it as your homepage)
6. You can replace this shortcut with the Chrome browser shortcut on the home screen
7. You can also change the shortcut's icon to Chrome icon and make it more realistic. (Read more about How to change app icon on Android
