How to View Past Notifications on Android

Have you ever wondered how to get back and recover older notifications on Android? To view past notifications on Android devices and see the already dismissed notifications, do as follows: 

1. Open the list of your available Widgets.
Note that to adding a widget to the home screen is different in different Android devices. On some devices, you just need to go the App Drawer and move to the Widgets tab, on some devices you have to tap your finger on an empty area of the home screen and then Add widgets to home screen, on some devices you have to choose the Shortcuts instead of the Widget, and other devices may use other path to Add Widget to home screen.
2. Add the "Settings" shortcut/widget to your home screen (Don't confuse it with the app's shortcut which just opens the Settings app upon tapping)
3. On the opened list, tap the Notification Log from the list of available settings shortcuts
4. Now tap the Notification Log icon on the home screen and as you see, your recent notifications are listed.
