Today, we are going to introduce Apex Launcher which is one of the most famous and lightest android launchers in the market.

 

The general features of Apex Launcher:

  • Ultra personalization of the Home Screen with the ability to increase number of pages up to 9.
  • Ability to remove dock bar (main applications at bottom) as well as to increase up to 9 icons in the Dock and Docks up to 5 ones.

Application Review

 

Home Screen

After app installation the home screen just has one or two icons, which in fact it’s empty. By double tapping on an empty area of home screen, a menu will be displayed. In this menu by choosing Manage Screen item, you can set the number of home pages and their arrangement according to your favorite design. After doing so, go to the App Drawer and hold any application icon, so you can add it to your desired page. To add widgets and change the wallpaper, hold your finger for one second on the Home screen and then go to related section.

App Drawer

This section of each launcher, will list the installed apps; the show arrangement in this section is alphabetically by default, which it can be changed to other forms. At the beginning of the installation, there are three tabs in App Drawer: Apps, Downloaded and Widgets. Apps will show all the applications, Downloaded, is a list of installed apps by the user and Widgets, will bring a list of available widgets which can be accessed from here. Each of these tabs can be removed or edited from the Apex Settings Drawer >> Apps. So far, two main section of the launcher (which all the main parts of launcher are in them) covered. Next we are going to examine the launcher options.




Options

In the Settings section, there are varieties of options. First the home screen settings and then the Drawer and the Doc.

In each of these sections, number of pages, special effects for transition between pages, enable or disable the dock bar, add or remove an existing tab Drawer and many more are customizable. Additionally, for advanced users, there are also more advanced settings. Other important parts of this section are the Theme Setting and Restore/Backup.

Theme’s settings are one of those parts which make Apex Launcher different than other apps. In fact, there are options to mix and combine themes together, so you can choose the style from one theme the icons from another and the appearance from other ones and create a new theme.

In the restore/backup section, there are options to back up the current settings or restore a previous backup.
