An Android unit converter app is somehow a must have app for every type of people, from an engineer or student to a person who is not familiar much with metric system!
How about an Android unit converter app which is beautiful, easy to use, fully functional, and intelligent? Flib uses a unique and eye-catching design and provides the option to convert almost all the units you can think of. Unlike some applications which scarifies the design for functionality, (or functionality for design), Flib delivers a pleasant experience while converting gradian to degree or kilocalorie to joule.
Flip offers the following units to convert:
Angle: Degree, Radian, Revolution, Angular mil, and gradian
Area: Square kilometer, Hectare, Square meter, Square mile, Acre, Square yard, Square foot, Square inch
Base: Decimal, Binary, Octal, Hexadecimal
Data: Bit, Byte, Kilobit, Kilobyte, Megabit, Megabyte, Gigabit, Gigabyte, Terabit, Terabyte, Petabit, Petabyte
Energy: Joule, British thermal unit, Kilocalorie, Calorie, Erg, Electronvolt, Kilojoule, Kilowatt-hour, Tone of coal equivalent, Ton of oil equivalent, Ton of TNT
Length: Kilometer, Meter, Centimeter, Millimeter, Mile, Yard, Foot, Inch, Nautical mile
Mass: Metric ton, Kilogram, Gram, Milligram, Microgram, Log ton, Short ton, Stone, Pound, Ounce
Power: Watt, BTU per hour, BTU per second, Calories per second, Erg per second, Horsepower, Kilocalorie per second, Kilowatt
Pressure: Pascal, Atmosphere, Bar, Kilogram per square meter (centimeter), Pound per square inch, Torr
Speed: Miles/hour, Feet/second, Meters/second, Km/hour, Knot
Temperature: Celsius, Fahrenh eit, Kelvin
Time: Nanosecond, Microsecond, Millisecond, Second, Minute, Hour, Day, Week, Month, Year, Decade
As you can see plenty of different types of units are supported and you just need to select the category, choose the units to convert to, and finally type a number in first unit to get the equivalent amount in the second unit.
Flib lets you change the color of tiles, and automatically rearranges the unit categories to show you the frequent used ones at the top of the list, and although it is an intelligent way to sort the categories but we didn’t like it, as it gets hard to remember the order of categories since they are rearranged every time you use a different unit to convert.
In overall, although there are so many Android Converter apps on Google Play Store, but we couldn’t find any app to beat the Flib, design and user interface wise. On the functionality side, most of unit categories are available in app and we couldn’t really think of any missing important unit.
Flib is completely free with no ads support or in-app purchases options and all you need to have is an Android device running 4.0 Ice cream or above.
