In the last couple of weeks, most of the HTC-related rumors have been about the new Selfie-focused devices and the highly anticipated Google’s 8.9-inch tablet manufactured by the Taiwanese. While the HTC Nexus 9 is expected to be announced sometime in November along with Android L and the next Nexus phone, reports indicate sooner release date for the HTC Eye devices. So, no wonder the rumors about HTC Desire Eye and HTC One M8 Eye are more accurate.

According to the latest leaks, the HTC Desire Eye is a mid-range device which features a 5.2-inch Full HD display, 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory, Dual SIM, and a 2,400 mAh battery. There are still 2 interesting features left: Water resistant, and a 13MP front camera accompanied by a Dual-flash and a dedicated camera shutter button.

What about price and availability? Well, if we trust the import export database website Zauba in India, the Desire Eye should be priced at ab out $350 (Rs. 21,490) which proves we are dealing with a mid-range phone.
But if you are one of those who prefer a high-end device with perfect selfie experience, it seems HTC has something else to offer: HTC One M8 Eye. The only peace of information surface at the moment regarding this new variant of One M8 is the price which is set at $450 (Rs. 27,035). Both the pricing tag and the device’s category (being part of the One family), indicate a high-end device and we believe we should expect an HTC One M8 with the same great features as well as the perfect front camera to take perfect selfies.

October 8 is when HTC has booked an event called “Double Exposure” and if we trust the reports, the Taiwanese OEM will be planning to announce both HTC One M8 Eye and HTC Desire Eye at the event in New York.
