HTC One

The long awaited day has finally come and HTC announced its brand new smartphone: HTC One with the codename of M7.  HTC One which was simultaneously announced in London and New York City, attracted too many attentions. The following is a short review of HTC One features:

Design

The body is made up of aluminum and glass. The design reminds you of Blackberry Z10. A quite new design for HTC Android smartphones. The phone has only a weight of 143 g and a thickness of 9.3 mm.

Hardware

The new HTC smartphone can be called a giant due to its magnificent hardwares. In its heart there is a quad core Qualcomm snapdragon 600 with frequency of 1.7 GH. Combining with Adreno 320 as the GPU, this processor can fluently run any heavy Android games. For the RAM the company has decided it to be 2 GB. And the display, say what? HTC has done its best on it. The display used in this gadget is SUPER LCD 3 which is known as one of the best displays for smartphones. It is a 4.7” display, protected with Gorilla Glass 2, and Full HD screen resolution resulting in an unbelivable high pixel density of 469 PPI. Another great feature of this smartphone is the use of Boom Sound for its stereo speakers which as the company says, brings very high quality audio hearings. An introductory benchmark currently shows this gadget at the top of the list, even upper than Xperia Z.

Software

The default OS coming with the gadget is the Android 4.1.2, the new Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 is to come soon. A –different than ever- version of H TC Sense GUI is also bundled with the device. This new interface is said to be a mixed version of Windows Phone Metro and BlackBerry interface combined with Android taste.

Camera, now with Ultra-Pixel sensor

HTC One could be known as the first and the only smartphone equipped with ultra-pixel sensor. Using this sensor, the 4 MP camera can capture a scene over 3 layers, each having one of the main RGB colors, giving us a final result of 12MP image. This way of photographing is much like Pureview feature used in Nokia 808. But wait, there is more to camera than just a new sensor. The camera comes also with LED Flashlight, Autofocus feature and it can record Full HD HDR videos at 30fps.

HTC One comes to compete against Samsung Galaxy S IV, Apple iPhone 5, Sony Xperia Z. Why don't you join our Official Android Widget Center Facebook page and post what you think about the winner of this competition here (Htc One Review)?
