On the Huawei’s Press Conference at CES in Las Vegas, they announced their plan to ship over 80 million devices in the 2014, and it seems they've counted on the U.S. markets as they announced the Ascend Mate II will be headed to the states under the AT&T carrier.

  • 84.7 width, 9.5mm thin

Considering the specifications, we can categories the Ascend Mate II in mid-range devices, and the huge 6.1inch screen categories it as a phablet which is extremely convenient for browsing web pages, watching films and reading books. The long lasting battery and the lower screen resolution (compare to 1080p Full HD screens) with the less powerful processor, lets you surf the web as long as half a day which is kind of impressive these days.

Another great feature of the Ascend Mate II is about its battery, which not only can power the device, it can be used as a power source for other mobile devices. We don’t know yet how this feature works, but it really is an exciting feature and we are looking forward to know more about it.

The Huawei's proprietary Emotion UI 2.0 used on the Mate II has plenty of features, including floating window and gestures, to make sure you have a smooth experience while working with one hand.

Huawei hasn’t specified any date or price for this new phablet, and we just know it will be available in the U.S. by AT&T sometime in the future with no details about the deals and prices, or the availability on any other U.S. carriers.
