The latest version of Android, Android 7.0 Nougat, is official and a lot of Android users wonder if their phone will get it. Nexus

Like always, Nexus phones are the first one to get Android 7 update. These phones that are built for Google's specification have absolute control over software and it makes them very suitable to be the first phones to receive Android 7. Nexus 6, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P and Android one models will get the update. For Android devices except phones, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player will receive it. Well, it can be a letdown for Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 2013 users.

 

Samsung

Well, Samsung is a company that has a variety of phone models and nobody is sure if most of them will receive the update but about the flagships, Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, S6 edge and S6 edge plus are the phone are going to be updated. About the other models, no one is sure but based on some features and specs, we can expect some other phones to get Android 7 update. The updates for Samsung are expected to be released in February 2017, which can bore a lot of users.

 

LG

Well, LG will be one of the first ones to get the update. As we know, LG V20 is one of the first phones coming with Android 7 and it will be released on September 6th and so, LG has the Android 7 code for a while now and we can expect the updates to come very soon. Android Nougat will hit LG G5, LG G4 and LG V10. Considering that G4 and V10 had some proble ms, we can expect that Android 7 can solve some of them.

 

Motorola

Motorola is not going to make the same mistake of last year and will just promise updates for the phones that are 100% updatable. We can expect Moto Z variants, Moto G4, Moto X Play and Moto X to get the updates before Christmas.

 

HTC

HTC has officially announced that HTC 10, HTC One A9 and HTC one M9 will get the updates and considering the fact that HTC will make two Nexus phones for 2016, we can expect the updates for HTC to come within 60 days because they had enough time to know the code.  HTC 8 will no longer get the official support.

 

Huawei

Well, about Huawei, Nexus 6P, P9, P9 Plus, Honor V8 and Mate 8 are going to get the update. Huawei is thirsty for the number one spot and the company will try its best to release the updates quickly.

 

Sony

Sony has promised updates for a lot of phones: Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra, Xperia X performance, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 compact, Xperia Z5 Premium and Xperia Z3+. There is nothing to say about release date.

 

Other Brands

About other brands I can say that, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 2, NVIDIA Shield TV and Shield Tablet and Axon 7 are expected to get the update and Xiaomi will focus on releasing phones coming with Android 7.

 

Well, Android Nougat will be the platform of many users very soon but we can't deny that there will be bugs at first, so, be patient and they will be fixed and you'll enjoy your experience with the new Android.
