So, what new in the next generation of HTC One? Well, while the design and overall look seem to be remained unchanged, HTC has finally used On Screen buttons for the new HTC One and the most notable change is about camera where the Taiwanese is using the Duo Camera feature which the details are yet to be unveiled. For now, we believe this Duo Camera thing helps the user to take perfect shots in low light conditions as well as applying 3D effects, choosing the focus point and creating bokeh effects. BSI sensor, pixel size 2.0µm, F2.0 / 28mm lens and HDR capability are the other features of the new HTC One’s camera.
Under the hood, HTC is using the same chipset as Samsung used for Galaxy S5, but with lower frequencies (clocked at 2.3GHz compare to 2.5GHz) and the good news for those who would to like to store tons of stuff on their smartphone is that HTC’s 2014 flagship supports microSD card and you can store up to 128GB of data on an external memory. However, according to some reports the original version of the new HTC One comes with 16GB of storage which is half the storage we’ve already seen on the HTC One.
HTC BoomSound for delivering amazing multimedia experience, Easy Access to your content by double tapping the screen to turn it on, cool camera effects and focus options, Video Highlights, Zoes, HTC Sense TV Sports, professional photo effects and HTC Match are some of the other features of the new HTC One thanks to Android Kitkat and HTC Sense 6.0.
What about accessories? According to @evleaks twitter post, HTC has some tricks up its sleeve and they are preparing an innovative yet interesting smart cover for the HTC M8 which shows the notifications, time, and weather conditions via available dots and holes on the flip cover. The details are unknown yet, but the leaked screenshot suggests some cool accessories for the new HTC One.
And finally let’s review the rumors and reports about the new HTC One Availability and Price.
Based on a leaked document from an Australian operator, the new HTC One will cost AUD 840 off-contract, which is $760 and according to another leaked photo, the Verizon model is already packed and ready to be shipped as soon as the time comes. Since Galaxy S5’s release date is set to be on April 11, we wouldn’t be surprised if HTC releases its new phone as soon as it is unveiled on March 25.
Stay tuned for more details about the new HTC One
