Where the weather data comes from

The listing names several providers. Forecasts come from Apple, NOAA, Yr, Visual Crossing, DWD (Germany) and JMA (Japan), among others, and radar from NOAA, Windy, BBC and Aeris. Alerts use government data in the US, Canada and EU countries. Our data has no developer replies, so we can’t say which provider is used where, or what each one covers. Accuracy depends on your region and provider.

Whatever weather app you use, don’t rely on one app alone for severe weather warnings. Check official alerts from your national weather service too.

Common problems reviewers report

Our data has no developer replies, so each problem below comes with what reviewers say and when, but no fix. Newer versions may behave differently.

Problem What reviewers report When

  • Support hard to reach: a few reviewers say they couldn’t reach support or that support didn’t help. One of them says their paid version doesn’t work on a new phone.

How this review was put together

We haven’t tested Weather Widget® ourselves. This review is built from the App Store listing, the app’s overall rating, and 150 user reviews from Apple’s public US reviews feed dating from May 2024 to October 2026. We took the newest reviews the feed returns (up to five pages). The sample has no reviews between late July 2024 and mid-February 2025. The data we collected doesn’t include a star breakdown or developer replies. Feature descriptions come from the store listing, and we checked the bigger claims against what reviewers report. Where reviewers disagreed, we’ve said so. Older reviews may describe earlier versions of the app. Information was checked October 17, 2026, and features, prices and ratings can change, so check the store listing for current details.
